The Nissan GT-R R35 was already a seriously aerodynamic car straight from the factory. Nissan's engineers spent years developing the body shape in conjunction with the GT500 race programme, and it shows. But if you want to go further — if you want GT500 aerodynamicist-level work on your road car — NISMO's aero package for the R35 is exactly that.
I want to be clear about something upfront: this wasn't designed by a styling team. The basic aerodynamic design was completed by NISMO's GT500 aero engineers. The Nissan GT-R design team then oversaw the final product execution. That's a different pedigree from most aftermarket body kits, and you can feel it in how the pieces work together.
Breaking down the full kit
① Carbon Hood — The crown jewel. A gurney flap is added at the hood's trailing edge to increase front-end downforce and improve turn-in response. Additional ribs underneath increase structural rigidity. The carbon construction saves 3kg over the OEM hood. It also creates a more efficient cooling airflow path to the turbos. Part number 65100-RSR50, 1,078,000 yen. Made to order.
② Front Under Spoiler — Increases downforce and doubles as a brake air duct. Two versions: one for 2008–10 models (75830-RSR50) and one for 2011–15 models (75830-RSR51). Both 220,000 yen.
③ Front Fender Set — Uses the same shape as the N-Attack fenders developed for NISMO's Nurburgring time attack R35. Real function, not just looks. Part number 6310S-RSR50, 220,000 yen.
④ Side Skirt Set — Extends the underbody floor area to increase downforce. Part number 7685S-RSR50, 176,000 yen.
⑤ Rear Under Spoiler Set — Manages airflow under the rear diffuser area to improve straight-line stability. Part number 8505S-RSR50, 110,000 yen.
⑥ Rear Diffuser Fin Set — Dry carbon. High rigidity, improved rear flow management and straight-line stability. Fits 2008–10 and 2011–15 models with separate part numbers. 198,000 yen per set.
⑦ Add-on Rear Spoiler — Fits over the OEM trunk spoiler. Wing end-plate design increases downforce. Pre-finished in clear coat. Part number 98100-RSR50, 418,000 yen.
The honest price reality
Is this kit expensive? Absolutely. The carbon hood alone is over a million yen. But you're buying parts engineered by the same people who made the GT-R competitive at the Nurburgring and in Super GT. There's nothing quite like it for the R35 from any other manufacturer at this level of aerodynamic development.
For R35 owners building a serious track car or a show-level NISMO build, this is the specification to aim for.
